Great Lakes Theater Festival Internship Program
Production Internships are typically available from September through December and February through May. Days and hours may vary. A stipend will be provided. Housing and travel are generally not provided. Interns should have a strong interest and background in the arts and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Eligibility
To be eligible you must be a current or graduating college student.
- Scene Shop Internships:
Based on interest, Interns will work along side carpenters, welders, electricians, props artisans, and painters in the GLTF scene shop. A basic knowledge of carpentry and technical theatre is required.
- Costume Shop Internships:
Interns will work alongside drapers, first hands, stitchers, and wardrobe crew in the GLTF costume shop. Basic sewing skills are required.
- Production Internships:
Interns will work with stage management and production management on all aspects of the production process. Applicants must have proficient computer skills and an interest in pursing a career in stage management or arts administration.
